Student Council Association (SCA)
Student Council is an organization conducted by students and supervised by an adult. The purpose of the student council is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the student council is the voice of the student body. They help share student ideas, interests and concerns with the school wide community.
Being a member of LGMS Student Council is a privilege and a big responsibility. Student Council members are student leaders and are expected to act as such at all times. Members of the student council are held to a high standard both academically and behaviorally.
Eligibility: Students need to go through an application process where they highlight their leadership and academic skills. They are elected by their peers in the fall.
Open to: Grades 6th - 8th
Meets on: Bi-weekly Wednesdays
Meeting Time: 2:30PM - 4:00PM
